Why shouldn't I just make my own labels for my portable valuables?
  • Your homemade labels would probably be made of paper, and be relatively fragile.  Your
    labels from us are made of polyester, which is significantly more durable.
  • Your homemade labels would have a relatively weak adhesive, and possibly be simply
    taped-on.  Your labels from us utilize a "permanent" adhesive (but can typically be
    removed without leaving marks).
  • The text of your homemade labels, likely printed with an inkjet printer, would run if it got
    wet.  Your labels from us are waterproof.
  • Taped-on labels would not fit as well into the small spaces that are available on many
    modern portable valuables, and would have an unattractive, unprofessional
    appearance.  Your labels from us are adhesive-backed, can be placed in smaller, more
    protected spaces, and look good.
  • Most available blank label sheets are pre-cut to one size, which cannot be optimally
    placed on your valuables of various sizes.  Your label set from us includes various sizes
    of labels, which may be conveniently placed on a wide variety of valuables.
  • Most packages of blank label sheets would cost more than a custom-made label set from
    us.
  • Going out to buy a package of blank label sheets, selecting various suitable font sizes,
    trying to properly align the printing, and the other work involved in making your own
    labels would cost you a lot of time.  To get your labels from us, you simply fill in some
    blanks on this website, then you'll receive your personalized labels shortly afterwards via
    US Mail.

How much does shipping & handling cost?
  • Shipping & handling is only $1 for your entire order, no matter how many products you've
    ordered.  We hate the unscrupulous practice of adding ridiculous shipping & handling
    costs (usually presented at the last minute) as much as you do.

What materials are the adhesive labels made from?
  • They're made from polyester and are backed with an acrylic permanent adhesive.  As-is,
    they are waterproof and appropriate for most uses, although not exceptionally tolerant to
    chemicals (including sunscreen) and high levels of abrasion, such as constant rubbing in
    a pocket.  For use in the roughest application locations, we include clear overlaminate
    cut-outs suitable for covering at least 1/4 of the total number of labels in the label set.

What do I need to do to make the adhesive labels adhere well and to maximize their
lifetime?
  • Place the label in a location that is not subject to constant rubbing.  Pockets can easily
    cause constant rubbing, so try to place the label where it won't contact other items or the
    fabric.
  • Apply to a clean, flat surface.
  • Do not apply the stickers such that they wrap around a corner ; corners are high-wear
    areas.
  • Do not apply the sticker to areas of your valuables which already show signs of wear.
  • If a recessed area of sufficient size is available, apply your sticker within the recessed
    area.
  • Seat the sticker well by pressing firmly across the entire surface of the sticker.
